Hello friends! So glad you clicked your way here! If you are coming from Meme Hill, welcome! Isn’t Amie’s home stunning?! We just love her style!
Today we have teamed up with a group of bloggers to bring you yet again, Fall decor ideas! One thing we love about Fall is that it’s actually quite a long season so we love to invest in cute and cozy Fall decor. Just think about it; everyone decorates for Christmas, which only lasts one month, where as Autumn lasts from September – November, a whole two months longer then Christmas!! So why not go all out?!
We are going to take a closer look at how we created a cozy neutral Fall setting in Kim’s family room. We call it the family room because this is where the family gathers to watch TV, cuddle up by the fire, read a book, and occasionally play boardgames.
This room is right off of the kitchen which we all know is the heart of the home, so we absolutely love decorating this family room!
Most people think of orange pumpkins and red apples when it comes to Fall decor but we stuck to the neutral color palette we so love and added cozy touches of plaid, fuzzy blankets, neutral colored velvet pumpkins, and other subtle Fall pieces to the room. This helps the room feel like Fall but in a neutral, relaxing, and cozy way, without the super bright colors! If you’d like to see how we used blue in Fall decor click HERE. We’ve kept the mantel pretty simple with vintage gold candlesticks, autumn leaves in a vase, and a Fall leaves print found at Hobby Lobby for half off! When we saw this print we knew it would be perfect with our neutral colored palette! We love the metallic gold in it which gives a touch of glam. We always love a vintage glam mix! 🙂
Since things never stay the same for too long around here, you can see a slight change up in the mantel in this photo but using the same basic elements. Mini white and gold pumpkins up the glam factor!
We’ve grouped velvet pumpkins from Hot Squash on a tray along with some dried hydrangea and leaves from the garden for a super simple but lux touch of Fall!
A mix of patterned pillows in neutral tones makes an interesting arrangement. We love the beading some of them have which adds sparkle and again a touch of glam!
Cozy throw pillows and blankets make an inviting spot for reading, watching tv or listening to music with a cup of coffee in the morning or glass of wine in the evening 🙂
