This year we decided to share a festive fall tablescape for a casual Thanksgiving dinner. We’ve opted for a casual dinner in our kitchen this year as opposed to the formal dining room we normally do because we recently sold our old dining room table and are still waiting for the new one to be delivered. We are pretty excited about the new one -we will definitely share with you as soon as possible! If you’d like, you can check out how we styled our dinning room tablescape last year by clicking HERE.
We don’t mind the casual setting since the kitchen is the heart of our home and we like keeping things cozy. We think casual and cozy can also be very chic!
The inspiration for this festive fall tablescape are the cute pumpkin plates and runner I found at Homegoods recently. Don’t worry, I found similar sources for both and have them listed at the end of the post. I like how each plate has a different color pumpkin but all in muted tones of white, green and cinnamon.
The star of the show here is the white turkey I found at a vintage shop. I placed him on a wooden cake stand and then grouped both real and faux pumpkins in muted tones on either side. Next I filled in with hydrangea clippings from the garden and a few faux fall leaves. Yes, you can mix real and faux! Can you tell which are real and which are faux?
For the place setting I used woven placemats and embroidered napkins that I found at Homegoods last year. Again, I have sourced similar ones for you at the end of the post.
The stemware I used is Mackenzie Childs from the Sweetbriar collection. I love the gold filigree on them!
Our new white oak wood floors from BUILDDIRECT are the perfect back drop for a casual Thanksgiving dinner.
