The bathroom, just like the kitchen was very outdated with the original 1970’s dark cabinetry and vinyl flooring. We started by gutting the old vanity sink and flooring.
It was a fairly spacious size but only had one sink and a small tub/shower combo. By eliminating the hall linen closet that jutted into the space we were able to make room for a double sink vanity, which we ordered online. We chose one that came with a marble counter top, sinks and drawer pulls as well as double mirrors. It was such a cost savings to order it all online as opposed to having a vanity made from our cabinet maker.
We chose the gray color but it also comes in white. We love the marble top!
We decided to keep the wall that separated the vanity area from the shower and toilet area for a bit of privacy. We replaced the old vinyl flooring with a rustic porcelain tile that looks like reclaimed wood. Again, this was an online order.
We pulled out the old fiberglass shower/tub combo and had our contractor install a walk in shower with bench. We chose classic white subway tile for the shower walls and a marble hexagon tile for the floor.
The toilet location stayed the same but we did get a new water efficient one. A row of hooks for towels fills the dead space next to the toilet.
For the lighting we chose these crystal pendants for a bit of bling. If you’ve been following us for awhile you know we love a style that has a rustic glam look. The rustic porcelain wood look tile floor combined with crystal and marble gives the perfect rustic glam mix we were going for!
A few fun accessories finish the look.
