The snow may still be on the ground here in MN but that hasn’t stopped us from decorating our homes for Spring! Today we are sharing Lacey’s Spring Home Tour with pops of mint blue. We typically love decorating our homes with neutral colors but as of late, we have been craving color for Spring.
I really wanted to add color and floral patterns to my home this Spring as it is so on trend and just exudes happiness. We recently posted on our blog how floral patterns are on trend this spring in Home Decor and Fashion. Click HERE to read! To see how we styled Kim’s home for Spring last year click HERE.
I have been super into mixing different shades of blue together. Pops of mint blue, cobalt, indigo, teal and a touch of pink brought so much life to my living room. On my coffee table I styled my mint candle sticks with my blue and white ceramic vase which helped bring the whole look together!
For my fireplace mantle I mixed mint frosted glass vases with another blue and white ceramic vase, mercury glass vases, and pink silk flowers. I find when you have color consistency on the main focal point areas in a room that can really help tie everything together quite seamlessly. In my living room the focal point areas are definitely the mantle, couch, and coffee table. All places where I placed similar colorful accessories.
I have also been loving mixing textures! These wooden beads and woven basket create depth and interest to the coffee table styling.
I brought the same color scheme into my kitchen. I just love how color can make one room flow perfectly to the next.
My uncle made me a loaf of his famous sourdough bread and I HAD to photograph it. It’s too pretty not too! I so badly wish it could have stayed on my kitchen island forever. I guess I can’t have my cake and eat it too, right? 😉
To carry out the mint color I used mint dishes that I already had and styled them on my counter tops. I am in love with my mint tea kettle and mint ceramic strainer dish.
I stole this “hello” pillow from my mom because the colors were too perfect! Blue, mint, and pink!
On my kitchen table I styled this gorgeous stack of MacKenzie-Childs Sweetbriar dinner plates along with a blue and white ceramic vase, and another mint dish filled with strawberries.
Just look at the detail on that sweetbriar plate! MacKenzie-Childs can do no wrong!! 🙂
We just love decorating every time a new season approaches. If you are a neutral color tone lover like us, try pops of mint blue and pink, you might be surprised how much you love them! We can’t wait until it actually starts getting warm around here. We long for green grass, blooming flowers, and T-Shirt weather! Hooray for Spring and the change of season!
