We’ve had a slow start to posting in 2019. We’ve been out of town in California and Florida and haven’t found the time to post quite yet but today is the day! We have a cute Valentines Day tablescape we are so excited to share! And we are also excited to be joining a group of talented bloggers who are all sharing ideas on how to celebrate Valentines day and make it special. Be sure to check out the list of our friends at the end of the post!
Lacey here, I recently switched out my dining table with my grandma’s vintage table she passed down to me a few years back. I forgot how much I loved this table, the last time I used it was in 2012/2013 back when I was in college!
I used several vintage dishes to set this Valentines table. The napkins, salad plates, and wine glasses are all vintage pieces I’ve collected over the years. Actually, the salad plates were also my grandma’s that she passed down to me! I love hand me downs and vintage pieces because they hold so much meaning and history.
For a touch of romance, we added pink roses, dark chocolate hearts, and pink rosé wine!
These chairs belong with this table but a few years ago I decided to paint them white and reupholster the cushions. I love the contrast of the wood table with the white chairs! Wood and white is in a lot of different places in my house like my ceiling in the kitchen and other furniture I have so this set fits right in!
I recently added the bar cart to the corner of this dining area along with this tufted bench. Both were found at Homegoods, along with the pillows!
Mackenzie-Childs Sweetbriar plates are layered with my grandma’s vintage salad plates!
Vintage gold candlesticks alongside my Mackenzie-Childs gold flatware is a perfect mix of new and old.
I spy Watson! He loves to be right in the action. Every time we take photos he has to be right up in our business!
