We are so excited for today’s post because we have teamed up with some amazing blogger friends to bring you all kinds of Fall (and Halloween) decor inspiration! If you are coming from Ashley’s blog Modern Glam, welcome! Isn’t her home just gorgeous?!
If you are anything like us you love the color blue, and you love it no matter the season! Today we are showing you how to incorporate blue into Fall decor!!
We stumbled across these amazing blue pumpkins while shopping one day and felt inspired! Since we just love the color blue, as soon as we saw them we knew we had to decorate with them!
There are so many shades of blue to play with but one of our favorite blues is that light turquoise aqua color! This normally seems very summery, but we are here to show you how to make it look perfect for Fall and how we used blue in a Fall tablescape.
The main thing we did to make this blue look Fallish was to pair it with warm tone tans and browns. Tans and browns are a very natural color in the Fall so what better color to pair with blue!
Luckily blue pumpkins are being sold at various home decor shops so that definitely makes our lives easier BUT if you can’t find blue pumpkins near you one trick we love is to just paint pumpkins with good ol’ acrylic paints!
We created the centerpiece by placing our pumpkins in a vintage wood crate then filled it in with burlap ribbon and hydrangeas and leaves from the garden. We accessorized with browns and tans by adding burlap placemats, and brown goblets. Brown and blue votive candles give a warm glow and add a nice ambience.
We layered some thrift store dishes with these blue linen napkins we found at Homegoods and then placed velvet blue pumpkins from the Target dollar store on top of each place setting.
We added these vintage glasses with the gold monogram for a little bit of sparkle. The glasses were a gift from my (Kim’s) sister and she was lucky enough to find these at an antique store!!
We love the character a few vintage pieces add to any setting. We always love a vintage glam mix!
